Out and about!

Hello everyone! It has been a busy few weeks in MapInfo land. We’ve been to conferences and events in many countries. Thanks to everyone that came to see us at the MapInfo Forums in Australia, the MapSweden conference, the Danish User conference, our partner conference in India, the MapInfo Tour events in the UK and other events where we have been out and about!

We have been showing a beta version of the 64 bit release of MapInfo Professional v12.5. For those who have not had a glimpse yet, there is an article that appeared in the journal last month. This month, I answer a few of the frequently asked questions we have been getting.

Also in this issue is the usual bad joke, another (and possibly last) Query Ninja article on Sub-selecting and lots more.

As always, we appreciate it if you forward this to any MapInfo Professional users who might benefit from learning more about the software.

Bing Mapping will expire for MapInfo Professional v12.0
Developer Dojo

This is advance notice that after December 31st 2014, the Bing mapping capabilities will expire for MapInfo Professional v12.5 users. To continue to use these services requires keeping your licenses on maintenance.

For customers on maintenance you can install version 12.5 to continue to use the Bing services. We will also contact you with means to extend the usage of the Bing mapping capabilities on v12.0 and earlier versions if, for some reason, you cannot upgrade in time.
