MapInfo Pro™ Monthly Journal
January 2015 Volume 3, Issue 8
2015 is (again) going to be a big year!
Survey Happy New Year everybody! By now I hope you have noticed the big changes in our new 64-bit version of MapInfo Pro. This journal is a great resource to help everyone learn the new user interface and capabilities.

This issue includes our first article in a series on MapBasic support in the 64-bit version (see the new "Developer Dojo" section) as well as an article highlighting a few of the new Preferences in the 64 bit version. You may also want to check out the archive to find more useful articles.

And don't worry if you are not using the 64 bit version yet. This issue also includes a tip on sorting across multiple columns in a Browser and a very useful article on using the Proportion Overlap capability. A big thanks goes to Juan Carlos Cuesta for this contribution!

Looking ahead, I said the same thing last year but I'm happy to share that we have an exciting schedule of improvements for MapInfo Pro planned in 2015. We have both 32-bit and 64-bit releases planned and are also hard at work on the next BIG THING (more on that next month!). By the way, we will be skipping the (so-called) unlucky number 13. The next MapInfo Pro releases are to be designated version 14.0.

See below for lots more.

As always, please forward this to any MapInfo Pro users who might benefit from learning more about the software.
