Reminder: Microsoft Bing® mapping access expired at the end of the year

Raster This is a reminder that Bing mapping access expired for MapInfo Pro v15.0/v15.2 (and earlier versions) at the end of the year. One way to keep using the Bing mapping capabilities is to install MapInfo Pro v16.0. We can also provide a facility to keep using Bing mapping with v15.0/15.2 and earlier versions.
Background:

Access to the Bing mapping capabilities is included as part of Maintenance with MapInfo Pro. All customers who keep the software on Maintenance are able to continue to access the Bing mapping capabilities. If your licenses are not on Maintenance then you are not eligible to keep using the Bing mapping.

What if I cannot install MapInfo Pro v16.0 yet?

For customers waiting for a localized version or where the IT department are unable to get the software installed before the New Year can continue to use the Bing mapping services. Pitney Bowes provides a license extension file that you can run.

We have already sent notifications about this to our customers who are on maintenance.

I didn't receive a notice, who do I contact?

If you have not received a notification, please get in touch with your usual contact at Pitney Bowes or with your Reseller Partner. If you need a contact you can look here: http://www.pitneybowes.com/us/contact-dcs.htm

Or, if you prefer, I would be happy to find the right person for you to speak to. E-mail me at tom.probert@pb.com

Info needed

When contacting us, it may be helpful to have your Serial Number and Access Code handy. You can get these from within MapInfo Pro:

32 bit versions: Look in the Help > About command.
64 bit versions: Look in the PRO tab. Your Serial Number is on the Licensing page.

Do you have the latest version of MapInfo Pro?

If not, a free trial of MapInfo Pro v16.0 is available.
